The Butcher’s Diary – October News

So it’s been a while, and we have a few updates….

FIRSTLY – the Manly shop is ticking along nicely now so we are re-opening the Brookvale shop on Saturdays again – from 21st October. We have also slightly changed the shop opening hours. New hours are;


  • MON – FRI : 9.00am – 7.00pm
  • SAT & SUN : 9.00am – 5.00pm


  • MON – FRI : 7.30am – 5.30pm
  • SAT : 8.00am – 2.00pm

If you know someone who is interested in organics and biodynamics and wants to work in it then send them our way.  Shiralee Organic Meats is looking for butchers, cooks and shop assistants in both the Brookvale and Manly shops. So if you have a love for the organic and a love for the Shiralee community then WE WANT YOU! Come in and have a chat with me or Donna.

In other news, we have everyone’s favourite – Organic Pork – coming in soon from our farmers Clint & Pip at Gregory Downs in Young NSW. They produce a whole lot of our organic beef, and you may have heard of Pip who is a Nutritionist and Naturopath working with Helen Padarin. See Pip, Helen and other fabulous Health & Wellness Professionals associated with Shiralee HERE.

We’ve also got a new Summer Menu coming in soon to Manly – we will be introducing some salads and vegie dishes to have with our slow cooked meats, as well as seasoned portuguesed chickens – cooked and ready to take home, chop up and serve! Too easy.
