These are all easy crowd pleasers for the weekend – or you could make them as a bit of a treat mid week dinner when short on time. Whip up a simple green salad whilst they are in the oven and you are done!
Crispy Chinese Chicken Wings
- 1kg chicken wings – you can cut these into drumettes and wings or cook whole, depending on your preference. With the drumettes you can also french them – see here
- 1/4 cup cornflour
- 2 tbl oil of your choice
- 1 tbl sea salt flakes
- 1/2 teaspoon 5 spice
- 1 tsp dried chilli flakes
Preheat oven to 220C
Mix together oil salt, spices in a large bowl
Prep wings, and place in a bag with the cornflour, shaking well and then dusting off any excess flour,, then add wings to the bowl – marinade for 30 mins or as long as you have
Place on baking tray, lined with baking paper. Bake for 30 mins until crispy. Best served topped with sliced shallots, coriander leaves and sriracha.
